One of Team GDW’s favorite groups, De Temps Antan, is releasing a new album next week! We originally saw them here in central Pennsylvania; we were thrilled that a Québecois group were coming to our area, and when we heard them live, we were sold pretty quickly on their talent, their fabulous music, and their terrific sense of humor.
Éric Beaudry, David Boulanger and Pierre-Luc Dupuis have been exploring and performing time-honored melodies from the stomping grounds of Quebec’s musical past. Using fiddle, accordion, harmonica, guitar, bouzouki and a number of other instruments, these three musicians blend boundless energy with the unmistakable joie de vivre found only in traditional Québec music.
The official album release event will take place 14 November at Le Ministère in Montréal.
“Consolez-vous” will be available beginning 3 November. In the meantime, enjoy this teaser video:
