Marlon Chaplin today announces the release of the third single off of his debut album “The Circle” which is accompanied by a captivating music video which was shot and directed by Justine McCloskey.
“Take Me There” is a gorgeous ballad with lush shimmering instrumentation, warm vocal harmonies and poignant powerful lyrics, making it perfect listening material for the cozy winter season and the holidays.
The song has already proven to be both a reviewer and fan favorite off of the album. Chaplin’s exceptional songwriting skills shine on this single which resonates with audiences through the rich thematic interplay between melancholy and hope.
A change of pace from the high energy of the lead singles “Elevation” and “Drain Me,” it’s one of the most accessible and relatable songs on the album connecting artist and audience at a very core human level.
Filmed in colour on super 8 film, the video was filmed and produced by Justine McCloskey at Monocliffs Provincial Park in Shelburne, Ontario. The textural qualities of the stunning landscape and filming technique, play against the bleak sky creating a daydream-like quality which both draws the viewer in and perfectly encapsulates the feeling of the song.
